It then examines the anatomy and physiology of blood products and guides learners through each stage of the blood transfusion cycle, including the standard safety checks required when handling blood products.
Finally, the course reviews the most common and serious adverse clinical incidents related to blood transfusion and concludes with an overview of the equipment required to safely administer a transfusion.
